The ultra-marathon for those who have no interest in running an ultra! ‘The Cut’ is a unique event. There’s no set distance; anyone with a heartbeat and a pair of running shoes can run.

About The Event
‘The Cut’ has to be experienced to fully appreciate its unique format, social setting and testing run. The event’s reputation has quickly grown; and despite the cut-throat nature of the run, the fun on and around the event make it the best day on the run calendar. Locked in for 2026; race day is Saturday, October 31, 2026.
We've been able to establish the Junior Cut and it's our hope that we grow our female contingent again in 2026; with the goal of having standalone cuts and a women's 'Hot Lap' to see a champion crowned. This year, the Junior Cut will be staged in the morning - BEFORE the big kids!
The Women's Cut will be held within the existing format; with runners cut as per normal but the women's numbers monitored and an amnesty enforced once 25 women remain, with separate cuts for men and women commencing…
