MATESHIP RUN

After the successful return of the Mateship Run in late 2025, we are excited to once again host the Mateship Run on Sunday November 8, 2026 and continue to raise funds and awareness around Veteran Services and commemorate Remembrance Day. 

Our flagship event is the unique 11.11km event; a nod to the signing of the Armistice to end fighting in World War 1 at the 11th hour, on the 11th day of the 11th month. For the diehard runners; we do have a timing mat at the 10km point so you can compare your effort on the day to other events who typically offer 10km events. 

The Mateship Run also offers a 5km event and a 2.5km Junior Dash; welcoming participants of all ages and abilities.
 

In 2026, we are excited to introduce a Team element to draw on the spirit of mateship. It's an 'OPEN' mixed event, with teams welcome to be made up of males, females or a mix of both. The times for your fastest 4 runners in the 11.11km event will be added together to give your team an accumulated time for your team. So be sure to start or join a team as you complete your registration.
 

Run, walk or cheer alongside veterans, families, friends and like-minded members of the community - all whilst enjoying the natural beauty of Currumbin and the spirit of Mateship that brings us together.
